About the Artists

David & Suzanne Enna — Ceramic Artists

After both graduated from East coast colleges, Suzanne, a Vermont native, met David, an Oregon native, in England in the late '60's.

They eventually married, and with a common interest in pottery, took up an apprenticeship under an English master potter.

In 1971 they returned to the States and set up shop in Oregon. Twenty-eight years ago they moved to their current location in a forested setting adjoining the National Forest on the western slope of Mt. Hood.

The Enna's ceramic art is shown in several galleries in the Northwestern United States. Each summer they travel to Japan for a showing of their work.

Zig Zag?

The Ennas live outside the small town of Zig Zag in rural Oregon. They live near the Zig Zag river and their studio overlooks Zig Zag mountain.

Historians believe the name comes from the path one took fording the wild river as opposed to the course of the river itself.
